Vans RV8

Firstly, a confession. This is not the epic image of RAF veteran Harrier pilot Mark Linney aboard his Vans RV-8 you think it is.

It's AI and we really don't use AI. However Mark's not actually performed his new display in his new toy yet. So, some of the ace photographers whose work we use, like Paul Johnson, can work miracles, but photographing something that hasn't happened yet is not amongst them.

What we do know is that Mark is no stranger to Airshows and especially not to the cockpit. The Harrier is one in a list of a great many aircraft he's flown and it's quite likely you've witnessed his flying before - as a passenger on an airliner.

This will be a little more vigorous as he's doing it aboard a super agile, powerful and acclaimed aerobatic aircraft. You've seen RV8's here before, 7 of them at once when the Ravens came last year, but this time it'll just be one demonstration as to what a lifetime of flying and a proper aircraft can do the rules of physics.
