Completely new for 2026, The Officer's Mess Cafe opened in June. 

​

During the Airshow it'll be reserved for the use of our members. Membership of the Aerodrome is somewhat difficult to obtain - we're estimating a six year waiting list at the moment. There are various reasons why people want to join and a prime position at the Airshow is amongst them. 

​

Because the Officer's Mess has just that - a considerable expanse on the flight line just for its customers. Throughout the day the entire cafe, offering an enticing range of food, drink and specials, is at the disposal of our members, and a very few other passholders. 

​

Each day we will be able to cater for just 30 non members and when passes go on sale they usually sell out in hours.

What's on Offer​

 

1. Exclusive access to the Officer's Mess from 09:30 each day when it opens, until 18:00 for one day. 

2. Food and Drink from the Officer's Mess menu and specials available to purchase exclusively by members and passholders - beating the queues which are unavoidable at the Food Village

3. Access to the airside viewing area in the middle of the Airshow. 

4. Choice - the Officer's Mess won't be offering a set,  limited menu - their entire range for the weekend is on offer for you to purchase whenever and however you wish. It's all very relaxed.

Please note that facilities are available at the main toilet block - The Officer's Mess does not have separate facilities during the weekend.

The Sally B Enclosure

​We're always asked about the Sally B Enclosure. Tickets have never been put on sale; it's invite only and always will be. Therefore there is no waiting list or suchlike for it - we don't even reveal what classifies as qualifying criteria to get an invite beyond one thing; being display pilots who've got a slot to fly at the Airshow. 

​

So all you need to do to guarantee to get invited to the most difficult to enter part of any Airshow is be one of the hallowed few hundred pilots with a Display Authorisation and then get on an even more exclusive list - being asked to fly here.
