The World's First and Only

As Old Buckenham remains the UK's centre of electric flight, it would be quite wrong not to make use of the UK's first Electric Aircraft Charger and welcome back the World's only Electric Aircraft Display Team - NEBO Air's Electric Arrows.

Sam and Alex are back in the cockpit, whilst Team Principal Kerry will be looking after everything on the ground. Everything on the ground covers a lot of things and mostly a rather large plug attached to the solar charger which provides all the electricity.

It's all cutting edge, sci fi stuff everywhere else, but here electric aviation is normal, almost commonplace. What is neither normal nor commonplace, is what Sam and Alex do with two state of the art aircraft designed for training and simple A to B aviation. What the Pipistrel Velis Electro was designed for does not include being flung all about the sky in close formation.

The Velis was the first electric aircraft ever to be type certified and, five years on, is still the state of the art, award winning, giant leap forward for electric aviation it was designed to be. Pilots all over the UK are learning to fly every day using the Velis. It's just that they're not, mercifully, learning to fly them like Sam and Alex. There are rules, after all, and in case you're wondering, yes, they've got a special licence which allows them to do this. It's the only one in the World, funnily enough.
