Plenty of seriously quick aircraft are being displayed at the airshow. The Cassutt, however is the only one solely built for speed. Specifically created in 1951 for formula one air racing, it’s very small, light and only needs 100hp to achieve a speed of 250 mph. It’s the aircrafts debut at Old Buckenham, and our chance to welcome one of the rising stars of display flying, Alex Harris.
Alex claims not to be all that fascinating, but he was the UK National Advanced Aerobatic Champion for Gliders, has been a Chief Flying Instructor and now flies and instructs on Boeing 737’s. So he really isn’t that dull after all and we’re looking forward to seeing him at Old Buck for years to come.
